The Neon Museum and Boneyard, located at 770 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is to be the home of many historically significant neon signs from Las Vegas’s colorful past. The site includes the La Concha Visitor Center, and outdoor event area and the neon boneyard. The visitor center of the museum is the renovated lobby of the La Concha hotel which was closed in December of 2003. To accentuate the building, the landscape design closely follows the original landscaping of the hotel as depicted in photographs that date back to the 1960’s. Although turf was originally found at the La Concha hotel, the Neon Museum substituted crushed granite for the grass to provide a water efficient and low maintenance site.
