“Design in harmony with nature” is our motto at Aria Landscape Architecture. However, we believe that sustainable design goes much further than that.  Sustainable design includes not only the environmental aspects but also economic and social sustainability, human health and well-being.  We strive to incorporate environmental, economic and social sustainability into everything we do.

On the business side of things, we try to keep our footprint small.  We recycle and used recycled products whenever possible.  Efficient use of space and digital technology allow us to keep our office small and our energy use low.  In addition, our website is carbon-neutral.

Owner, Anna Peltier, was the first LEED AP in southern Nevada working in the field of landscape architecture.  Since becoming a LEED AP in 2007, she has worked on many LEED projects including the City of Henderson Senior Facility, the City of Henderson Aquatics ComplexLas Vegas Mob Museum and Windmill Library.  In 2009, Anna acquired the LEED specialization in Building Design and Construction.  Anna also teaches several classes on sustainable landscape design in arid environments and southwest native plants.  She has presented these classes for the Southern Nevada Water Authority’s Water Smart Contractor Courses, the US Green Building Council’s Education continuing education programs and the Master Gardeners of Southern Nevada.
